Overview
American Property Guard provides tax certificates. Information from the Search Data tab including the legal description can also be sent to American Property Guard.

This demonstrates how to set up and use the American Property Guard search integration. American Property Guard provides certified tax certificates. Information from the Search Data tab including the legal description can also be sent to American Property Guard.
Begin here: Contact American Property Guard for further information or to register for services by calling (888) 519-1367. Inform American Property Guard that the account will be for a Resware integration. They will provide information needed to complete the setup.
Next: Complete the following steps to implement this integration.
Next: Provide American Property Guard with the Resware web domain, the DocumentTypeID’s for each document they will provide, along with the username and password of the partner employee created.
Next: Contact support@resware.qualia.com to update the configuration files.

Create a Partner Type
Admin/Partner-Related/Partner Types
- Click Add.
- Enter the Name as Tax Cert Search.
- Enter 1 as Max Per File.
- Select County from Locale Restriction drop-down.
- Click Save.

Create an American Property Guard Partner
Admin/Partners
- Click New.
- Enter a Company Name, such as American Property Guard.
- Enter the partner’s information and set the Partner Type to Tax Cert Search.
- Click Edit Counties and enable the partner for the states and counties where the search integration will be used.
- Click XML Config and select Enable XML Transmission of Notes and Documents and Don’t Also Send Notes and Documents via Email.
- Click Save.
- Click Save.

Create a Partner Employee
Admin/Partners
- Highlight the partner created above and click New in the partner employee area.
- Enter a First Name.
- Enter an Email Address.
- Check Primary Contact, which will default this employee to the primary contact when the partner is added to the file.
- Check Enabled in the Website Access area.
- Click Generate to populate a Password. This will ensure company-specific password validation rules are met. Write down this password to use in the validation step.
- Enable the following Website Roles:
- Web Services: Add Documents
- Web Services: Add Notes
- Web Services: Get Documents
- Web Services: Get Notes
- Web Services: Order Placement
- Web Services: Search Files
- Click Save.

Password Validation
Website
After a password is set or reset for a partner employee, the employee is required to enter a new password the next time they access the website. To ensure this integration is set up properly, log into the company’s Resware website with the username and password created in the prior step and create a new password. Provide this new password to American Property Guard.
NOTE: It may be beneficial to set the expiration date of this password out for an extended period of time on the partner employee setup. Check with company-specific password security protocols to verify this will be acceptable or have a reminder in place to update this password as needed to ensure this integration’s service will not be interrupted.

NOTE: Provide the Username and Password to American Property Guard.
Document Types
Admin/Documents and Templates/Document Types
In addition to a search request document type, American Property Guard will return the following document types based on the services provided: Tax Certificate, CAD File, HOA Report, Notice to Purchaser, and Non-Liability Tax Report. These will need to be mapped to active document types in Resware. If these do not currently exist, then new document types need to be added. Make note of the DocumentTypeIDs for each to map in the next step and to provide to American Property Guard.
- Click Add.
- Enter a Document Type name.
- Click Save.

Create a Resware to Resware Partner Mapping
Admin/Partner-Related/Resware to Resware Partner Mappings
- Click Add.

- Click Search and select the partner created above.
- Enter the Username and Password as provided by American Property Guard.
- Verify the Service Type is set to Order Placement in the drop-down.
- Enter the URL as https://tax.resware.americanpg.com/OrderPlacementService/v4/Service.svc
- Enter a 1 for the Client ID.
- Enter a 1 for the Office ID.
- Select V4 as the Service Version.
- Click Add in the Transaction/Product Type Mapping area.

- Select a Transaction Type from the drop-down.
- Select a Product Type from the drop-down.
- Enter a 1 as the Remote Transaction ID for the transaction being added.
- Enter a 1 as the Remote Product ID for the product being added.
- Click Save.
- Highlight the entry just added.
- Click Edit
- Update the Remote Transaction ID to match the actual ActionListTransactionTypeID and the Remote Product ID to match actual ActionListProductTypeID shown on the panel.
- Repeat above steps for each transaction/product type that will have tax certificates ordered through this integration.
NOTE: The RemoteIDs for this integration are mapping the ID numbers to themselves. This will apply to all of the RemoteIDs for the ActionListTransactionTypeID and ActionListProductTypeID shown above, as well as the InternalUserID, DocumentTypeID, LienTypeID, and EasementTypeID shown in the following steps.

- Click Add in the Primary Contact Mapping area.
- Select a Contact from drop-down (It does not matter which one is chosen).
- Enter a 1 as the Remote ID.
- Click the Default checkbox.
- Click Save.
- Highlight item added.
- Click Edit.
- Enter the RemoteID with actual InternalUserID.

- Change the Service Type that is set in the drop-down to Note/Document.
- Enter the URL as https://tax.resware.americanpg.com/ReswareWebServices/ReceiveNoteService.svc
- Enter 1 as the CoordinatorTypeID.
- Click Add in the Document Type Mapping area.

- Select the Search Request Document Type from the drop-down.
- Enter the Remote ID as the same as the DocumentTypeID in Resware.
- Click Save.
- Repeat the above steps for each document type required based on services provided.

- Change the Service Type that is set in the drop-down to Search Data.
- Enter the URL as https://tax.resware.americanpg.com/ReswareWebServices/ReceiveSearchDataService.svc
- Select V2 as the Service Version.

- In Lien Type Mapping area, click Add.
- Select the Lien Type from drop-down for each lien type in Resware.
- Enter a 1 as the RemoteID.
- Click Save.
- Highlight entry that was just added.
- Click Edit.
- Enter the RemoteID as the actual LienTypeID of the lien being mapped.
Repeat these steps for the Requirement Type Mapping, Easement Type Mapping, and Restriction Type Mapping areas.

- Click Save.
Set up the XML Tab on Products
Admin/Action Lists/Product Types
- Edit each product where American Property Guard functionality is needed.
- Click the XML tab. If the Resware XML Package already exists on the product, skip to the next product type.
- Click Add and select Resware from the drop-down.
- Click OK.
- Click Save.
- Click Close.

Set up an Action and Affect to Automate Order Placement
Admin/Action Lists/Action Groups
- Highlight the action group that has the action that should send the search and click Edit Actions.
- Highlight the action that should be used to send the request and click Edit Affects.
- In either the Start Task Marked Done Affects or Complete Task Marked Done Affects section, click Add.
- Select the following in 5 – Marking Done Sends XML:
- Select Resware: Send Order from the XML drop-down.
- Select the Tax Cert Search partner type from the Send To: drop-down.
- Click Save.

Examples on a File
Manual Order Placement
File/XML/Resware to Resware
- The American Property Guard partner must be on the file in order to send requests.
- Select Resware: Send Order – American Property Guard from the XML Message drop-down to order a tax certificate
OR
- Select Resware: Send Search Data – American Property Guard from the XML Message drop-down to send search information.
- Click Send.

American Property Guard will return the ordered product to the Documents panel of the file. If desired, action triggers may be set up based on the document types being added to the file.
Automatic Order Placement
File/Actions Tab
The American Property Guard partner must be on the file in order to send order requests.
- Highlight the action being used to send the search request to American Property Guard and click either Mark Started or Mark Completed, depending on where the affect was set.
The search document(s) will be returned from American Property Guard and added to the Documents tab of the file when the search is complete.
XML Activity
File/XML/Resware to Resware
This panel shows activity from the initial order placement to the documents being returned from American Property Guard via manual order or from an action.

Notes
File/Notes
This panel shows the note returned from American Property Guard with the document associations.

Documents
File/Documents
This panel shows the documents received from American Property Guard for the services requested.
