ANTIC: CPL & Jackets User Guide (Agents National Title Insurance)

Overview

This user guide demonstrates how to use the Agents National Title Insurance Company integration to generate, update, and void closing protection letters and policy jackets from within Resware. When this integration is used, the CPL and jacket documents are attached to the file without having to go to the underwriter’s website.

Requesting a CPL on a File

File/New Loans

  • When requesting a lender CPL, select a lender. Fill in the fields for the loan number if it should be included on the CPL.
  • Click the CPL button.
  • Verify the CPL Lender Data information is correct.
    • Click Populate CPL Override Address if an override address is available and needed for a CPL. 
    • Click Populate Lender Address to toggle back to the lender’s address.
  • Click Request CPL.
  • Enter the Username provided by Agents National Title and click on the Login button.
    • The username will be retained for each user after it is entered the first time.
  • Select an Agent. If only one option available, it will be selected by default.
  • Select a Branch. If only one option available, it will be selected by default. 
  • The Transaction Type will default to Prelim.
  • Select an Additional Agent/Approved Attorney, if applicable.
  • Select an Additional Branch for the Additional Agent/Approved Attorney, if applicable.
  • The File Type will default to Prelim.
  • Select a CPL Type.
  • Verify the information in the Buyer Data and Seller Data sections and update fillable fields as needed.
  • Click Generate.

The created CPL document(s) will be displayed in the CPL Documents section of the CPL Data panel and in the file’s Documents tab.

Update a CPL on a File

File/New Loans/CPL

  • Select the CPL to update.
  • Click on Update.
  • Login to see prior selections.
  • Change any of the enabled fields and click on Generate.
  • The updated CPL will be added to the file, and the prior CPL will be changed to “inactive.”

Voiding a CPL on a File

File/New Loans/CPL

  • Select the CPL to void.
  • Enter a Void Reason.
  • Click on Void.
  • Confirm the CPL should be voided by clicking Yes.
  • Enter or verify that the populated Username is correct and click Save.

The CPL is voided.

  • Click OK.

Requesting a Policy Jacket

File/Policy

  • Select an Owner’s or a Lender’s tab and complete the information on the policy panel as needed, including the Effective date in the Current Policy area.
  • Click Generate to open the Jackets Data panel.
  • Click Request Jacket.
  • Enter the Username provided by ANTIC and click on the Login button.
    • The username will be retained for each user after it is entered the first time.
  • Select the Agent. This will populate the Branch options available.
  • Select the Branch.
  • Select the Transaction Type. This will populate the File Type options available.
  • Select the File Type. This will populate the Policy Form options available.
  • Enter the Effective Date. This will be populated with the policy’s Effective date, if it exists.
  • Select the Policy Form for each jacket type being requested.
  • The Liability Amount populates from the policy’s consideration amount.
  • The Premium Amount populates from the policy’s total amount.
    • Any changes that need to be made to the liability and premiums amounts must be made in the Settlement\Title Charges tab.
  • Fields and Endorsements
    • This section displays a list of endorsements that are being issued with the policies. 
  • Click Generate.

If the liability amount requires underwriter approval, a message will pop up. Clicking on Yes will open a browser for submitting a high liability request. Any jackets pending underwriter approval will be added with a “pending” status.

To check the status of a pending jacket, select the document in the Jackets Data panel and click on the Check Status button. If the status is still pending, a status message will be displayed. 

If the status is approved, the jacket documents will be retrieved from the integration and added to the file. 

The jacket(s) are created. Click OK on the success message. The created jackets are displayed in the Jackets Data panel and in the Documents tab.

Generating a Policy with the Jacket

File/Policy/Jackets Data

  • In the Jackets Data panel, check Use For Policy Generation and click on Generate. The policy will be generated using the selected jacket, and the Policy Number will be populated in the Policy panel.

Updating a Policy Jacket

File/Policy

To update a jacket for a policy that has not yet been issued:

  • Click Generate from the policy to be updated.
  • Select the policy jacket to be updated in the Jackets Data panel.
  • Click Update.
  • Login to see prior selections.
  • Change any of the enabled fields and click on Generate. The policy effective date can be updated from the ANTIC Jacket Questions panel. Changes to the liability and premium amounts must first be made in the Settlement\Title Charges tab.

To update a jacket for a policy that has been issued, but has not yet been remitted:

  • Click on the arrow on the Generate button in the Current Policy section of the policy and select Update Jacket.
  • Login to see prior selections.
  • Change any of the enabled fields and click on Generate. The policy effective date can be updated from the ANTIC Jacket Questions panel. Changes to the liability and premium amounts must first be made in the Settlement\Title Charges tab.

Voiding a Policy Jacket

File/Policy

To void a jacket for a policy that has not yet been issued:

  • Click Generate from the policy to be voided.
  • Select the policy jacket to void.
  • Enter a Void Reason.
  • Click Void.
  • Confirm the jacket should be voided by clicking Yes.
  • Enter or verify that the populated username is correct and click Save.

The policy jacket is voided. Click OK on the success message. The voided jacket filename will be updated to contain VOID.

To void a jacket for a policy that has been issued:

  • Change the Remit Status on the policy to Void.
  • Click OK on the prompt about voiding jackets and endorsements, then click Yes to void the jacket.
  • Enter or verify that the populated Username is correct.
  • Enter a Void Reason.
  • Click Save.

The policy jacket is voided. Click OK on the success message. The voided jacket filename will be updated to contain VOID and the policy will be voided.
