Overview
By default, all document types are available for use in all offices. Setting office restrictions will limit the document types that a user can select to the specified office(s). Additionally, team-specific restrictions will limit the document type by teams within each office. These restrictions will limit the document types that are available for a user to assign to a document when adding documents to files based on the office of the file and/or team with which they are associated.
This demonstrates how to set up and use document type restrictions by offices and teams in Resware.

Example
The following user has access to Resware Test 1 Office and is on the Escrow team.
Based on the following document type restrictions, this internal user will be able to attach document types A and B, however document types C and D have restrictions that limit the user from selecting them as document types when adding a document to a file.
When attaching documents in Resware, either by using the “drag and drop” method anywhere within the file or by clicking Attach Doc button on the Actions, Documents, Curative, or Recording panels, the user will be limited to selecting from the document types that are allowed for use based on the admin settings for each document type.
The user will see all the document types on a file, regardless of their internal user role restrictions.
NOTE: If the user has the internal user role: Tabs: Edit: Documents, they can change a document type on an existing document, even if the document type which they editing is one they are restricted from adding to files. While users can switch from a document type that is restricted, they cannot change to a document type that’s restricted for their team and/or office.
