Overview

The following is a brief explanation of the office options available in Resware in the miscellaneous area.

General: Display Asset StatusThis is an informational only field. It is located on the General Tab.727Pre 8.0
General: Don’t Limit Times To :15 Marks On General And Signing TabsIf NOT enabled, times must end with :00, :15, :30, or :45. This is enabled by default.604Pre 8.0
Limit Access to Files Based on a User’s TeamIf the internal user doesn’t have a team that is on the file they will not be able to access the file.752Pre 8.0
Limit Access to Files Based on Teams Assigned to ActionsIf enabled, internal users will only have access to a file if they are a member of a team assigned to at least one action on the file. This also limits access to a file’s summary report, audit trail, attaching notes, and attaching documents from the home page.

If enabled, and the office option
Misc: Limit Access to Files Based on a User’s Team is also enabled, the new office option
Misc: Limit Access to Files Based on Teams Assigned to Actions will override.

Patriot Act Search: Add NoteIf enabled, Patriot Act search results will be added to the file in a note.984Pre 8.0
Patriot Act Search: Enable SearchWhen enabled, a Patriot Act/OFAC search can be run if either the Patriot Act (ISTWatch) or SimpliRisk XML client is enabled and set up.

The Run Patriot Act Search checkbox is visible on the admin product type panel. If this checkbox is checked for the product type on the file, then a Patriot Act search will be run automatically when:  
  • Either a buyer/seller is added or the name of an exiting buyer/seller is changed AND the office option Patriot Act Search: Run when Buyer/Seller is added or name changes (ID 575) is enabled:
  • An action affect of trigger affect or trigger affect is set to Run Patriot Act Search.  See the Marking Done Sets Value section on both the action affect and trigger affect panels.

Patriot Act Search: Run when Buyer/Seller is added or name changesIf enabled, the Patriot Act search will be run whenever a buyer/seller is added or their name is changed, instead of just when the search is triggered via an action.
This office option works only when the office option Patriot Act Search: Enable Patriot Search (ID 792) is enabled.

Policy: Auto-add easements and restrictions to Policy when they are added to Search DataIf enabled, this will occur any time an easement or restriction is added (windows client, website, web services, auto-added).831Pre 8.0
Policy: Copy instead of linking from Search DataIf enabled, when a user chooses to pull items from Search Data over to the Policy panel, the item will be copied instead of being linked to the Search Data item. This way, if any changes are made to an item on either panel, it will not be changed on the other.769Pre 8.0
Policy: Do not auto-populate Typed Date and change label to Remit AfterIF enabled, then when a policy is generated, the Typed Date will not be auto-populated. The name for the Typed Date field will also be changed to Remit After.784Pre 8.0
Policy: Don’t change file status when a policy is generated

If enabled and a policy is generated, the status of the file is NOT changed to Policy Issued.

If NOT enabled and a policy is generated, the status of the file is changed to Policy Issued.

Shipping: Default Closing Office Sender Contact to Internal UserIf enabled the shipping contact for the closing office partner type will be the name and phone number of the user creating the shipping label.100479.12
Shipping: Default New Internal Users to No Shipping Accounts

If enabled, when creating a new internal user, the new user will have access to no shipping accounts.

If disabled, when creating a new internal user, the new user will have access to all shipping accounts.

When this office option and the user role are enabled, these 3 controls, which allows the user to open the signing calendar panel, are visible:

  • Signing Calendar menu item in the View menu.
  • Signing Calendar button/icon in the Resware toolbar.
  • Calendar button in a file on the Signings tab.
The signing calendar panel allows users to view, edit and add signings in both a day view and a list view.

Validate Date Range in General File and Policy TabsValidates the date ranges for the dates listed on the general file and policy tabs.  The default data range is 11 months, but can be configured using  GeneralFilePolicyValidateDataRange application config (must be an integer value).9528.19
