Setup
This demonstrates how to set up and use the Punctual Abstract integration.
Begin here: Contact Punctual Abstract for further information or to register for services at https://punctualabstract.com/contact/become-a-client/ or contact them at(412) 855-9671. Inform them that the account will be for a Resware integration. Account information will be provided, including the ClientID and OfficeID, to use in the Resware to Resware mappings step.
Next: Complete the following the setup steps. The account information provided by Punctual Abstract is needed to complete these steps. Provide the partner employee username and password, the DocumentTypeID’s, the LienTypeID’s, and the ActionListTransactionID/ActionListProductID pairs to Punctual Abstract.
Next: Contact the Resware customer success team atsupport@resware.qualia.com to assist with adding the necessary bindings and endpoints for successful transmission between Resware and Punctual Abstract. Provide the SystemID for the partner created below.

Enable Office Option
Admin/General Setup/Offices
- Highlight the office using this integration and click Edit.
- Click on the Web Services tab or use the Search function to locate office option.
- Click to enable the Enable Resware to Resware Order Submission office option.

Create a Punctual Abstract Partner
Admin/Partners
- Click New.
- Enter the Company Name as Punctual Abstract.
- Enter the partner’s information and set the Partner Type to Searcher.
- Click Edit Counties.
- Select all states/counties where services are provided.
- Click Save, Save.
NOTE: This partner will need to be added to each file using this integration service. It can be auto-added by another partner, by the action list, or manually added by a user.

Create a Partner Employee
Admin/Partners
- Highlight the partner created above and click New in the partner employee area.

- Enter the First Name as Punctual Abstract Integration Services.
- Enter the Email Address as support@punctualabstract.com.
- Check Primary Contact, which will set this employee as the primary contact by default when the partner is added to the file.
- Check Override Username and enter the Username as Punctual Abstract.
- Click Enabled in the Website Access area, which allows the web services to be utilized.
- Click Generate to populate a Password. This will ensure company-specific password requirements are met. Write down this password to use in the validation step.
- Click Save.
NOTE: The username and password for the employee will need to be provided to Punctual Abstract to ensure the documents are returned on the file’s Documents panel.

Password Validation
Website
After a password is set or reset for a partner employee, the employee is required to enter a new password the next time they access the website. To ensure that this integration is set up correctly, log into the company’s Resware website with the username and password created in the prior step and create a new password. Provide this new password to Punctual Abstract.
NOTE: It may be beneficial to set the expiration date of this password on the partner employee setup out for an extended period. Check with company-specific password security protocols to verify this will be acceptable or have a reminder in place to update this password as needed to ensure this integration’s service will not be interrupted.


NOTE: Provide the Username and Password to Punctual Abstract to ensure the documents are returned on the file’s Documents panel.
Document Types
Provide Punctual Abstract with the DocumentTypeID’s for each document type in Resware that they will be returning to files.
Admin/Documents and Templates/Document Types
- If the DocumentTypeID column is not visible, right-click on the grid, select Show, then select DocumentTypeID.
- Right-click on the grid, then View as Report to print or export as an Excel spreadsheet to provide to Punctual Abstract.

Lien Types
Provide Punctual Abstract with the LienTypeID’s for each lien and requirement type in Resware that they will be returning to files.
Admin/Search Data/Liens & Requirement Types
- If the LienTypeID column is not visible, right click on the grid, select Show, then select LienTypeID.
- Right-click on the grid, then View as Report to print or export as an Excel spreadsheet to provide to Punctual Abstract.

Create Action Events
The following is an optional step to create action events in Resware to facilitate, through XML, additional functionality or services on a file. Punctual Abstract recommends, at a minimum, that the following action events are created and used in this integration.

Admin/Action Lists/Action Events
- Click Add and enter the Name as PA Agent: Cancel Search.
- Click Save.
- Repeat steps to add the events from the list above and any other optional action events to add to the workflow and this integration.

NOTE: The first set of action events are intended to be used to send the notifications from the agent to Punctual Abstract and the second set are intended to be used to send as notifications from Punctual Abstract to the agent.
NOTE: For each action event created, enter the ActionEventDefID in the table above and provide to Punctual Abstract. If the column is not visible in the grid, right-click in the grid to show the column.
Resware to Resware Partner Mappings
Order Placement
Admin/Partner-Related/Resware to Resware Partner Mappings
- Click Add, then click Select to search for the partner added in the prior step.
- Enter X as both the Username and Password.
- Verify that the Service Type is set to Order Placement.
- Enter the URL as https://pab.punctualabstract.com/clients/services/resware.
- Enter the Client ID and Office ID provided by Punctual Abstract.
- Select the Service Version as v4.
- Check the box for Don’t Send Sales Price or SSNs.
- Click Add in the Transaction/Product Type Mapping area and:
Select the Transaction Type and Product Type that will use this integration. Set the Remote Transaction ID as the ActionListTransactionTypeID. In version 9.7 or higher this will auto-populate by default. Set the Remote Product ID as the ActionListProductTypeID. In version 9.7 or higher, this will auto-populate by default. Click Save.
NOTE: If setting up in a version prior to 9.7, enter a 1 as the Remote IDs, then click Save to display the ActionListTransactionTypeID and ActionListProductTypeID. Click Edit to modify and change the RemoteID to match accordingly, then save. Repeat the above steps to add all transaction/products that will use this integration. Provide the ActionListTransactionTypeID/ActionListProductTypeID pairs to Punctual Abstract.
- Click Add in the Primary Contact Mapping area and select the internal user that is the main contact.
Enter the Remote ID as 1.
Check the Default option.
Click Save, Save.

Note/Document
Map the document types in Resware that will be sent to Punctual Abstract.
Set the Service Type dropdown menu to Note/Document.
Enter the URL as https://pab.punctualabstract.com/clients/services/resware/note.
In the Document Type Mapping area, click Add and select the Document Type from the dropdown menu.
Enter the Remote ID as the DocumentTypeID from the list in the prior step. In version 9.7 and higher, this will be set by default.
Click Save.
Repeat the above steps for each document type used in this integration.
Click Save.

Action Event
- Set the Service type to Action Event.
- Enter the URL as https://pab.punctualabstract.com/clients/services/resware/action.
- The Action Event Mapping area maps action events available to send to Punctual Abstract. Each action event also needs to be added as an action in the workflow.
Click Add. Select an Action Event. Enter the Code as the ActionEventDefID from the list in the prior step. In version 9.7 and higher, this will be set by default. Click Save. Repeat for each action event.
- Click Save.

Enable the XML Tab on Products
Admin/Action Lists/Product Types
- Edit each product that will use the Punctual Abstract integration.
Click the XML tab. If the Resware XML package already exists on the product, skip to the next product type.
Click Add and select Resware.
Click OK.
- Click Save.
- Click Close.

Add Action Affects
The following steps will show how to create two action affects. The first can be added to the workflow to initiate the order with Punctual Abstract and the second will send an action event to Punctual Abstract.
Admin/Action Lists/Action Groups
- Highlight the action group that will contain the action that should send the search and click Edit Actions.
- Highlight the action that should be used to send the request and click Edit Affects.
- Click Add in the Complete Task Marked Done Affects area.
In 5 – Marking Done Sends XML, select the following: XML: Resware: Send Order. Send To: Searcher
- Click Save.
Highlight the action group that will contain the action that will send the action event and click Edit Actions.
- Highlight the action that will be used to send the action event and click Edit Affects.
- Click Add in the Complete Task Marked Done Affects area.
In 5 – Marking Done Sends XML, select the following: XML: Resware: Send Action Event. Send To: Searcher Action Event: Select the action event from the dropdown menu.
- Click Save.
- Repeat the above steps for each action event set up for this integration.

Examples on a File
Manual Order Placement
File/XML
The Punctual Abstract partner must be on the file to send search requests.
- Select the XML Message as Resware: Send Order: – Punctual Abstract Co., Inc.
- Click Send.

Punctual Abstract will return the ordered product to the Documents panel. If desired, the Document Added trigger may be setup based on documents being added to the file by Punctual Abstract. For further information on action workflow management see action articles available on the customer portal.
Automatic Order Placement
File/Actions tab
The Punctual Abstract partner must be on the file to send order requests.
- Highlight the action being used to send the search request to Punctual Abstract and click Mark Completed.
The search document(s) will be returned from Punctual Abstract and added to the file when complete.

XML Activity

This panel shows activity from the initial order placement to the documents being returned from Punctual Abstract via manual order or from an action affect.
