An office option is available in Resware and when this office option is enabled, if the file is marked for Needs 1099-S, the seller’s post-closing address will be required.

Admin/General Setup/Offices/Edit Office/Buyer/Seller Data

Enable Require post-closing address when Needs 1099-S.
