Overview
WFG agency services integration provides order search requests, send search data information, and use action events for additional services such as to request date-downs or cancel requests from within Resware.

This demonstrates how to set up and use the WFG Agency Services integration.
Begin here: Contact a WFG agency representative for further information and to register for services. Inform WFG that the account will be used with a Resware integration. The account information will be provided, including a username and password.
Next: Complete the following setup steps along with the accompanying excel spreadsheet provided by WFG, which contains RemoteID’s and codes needed for the standard (VSA program) setup. WFG will provide additional RemoteID’s and codes if further customization needs to be done.
Next: Provide the following items to WFG after completing the following steps: the partner employee username and password, DocumentTypeID’s, and the CoordinatorTypeID if 1 was not used as the default in the Note/Document mapping.

Create or Edit a WFG Partner
Admin/Partners
- If a WFG underwriter partner exists and can be used for this integration, locate and edit partner, otherwise click New and enter WFG National Title Insurance Company as the Company Name.
- Enter or verify the partner’s contact information.
- Add a Partner Type of Searcher.
- Click Edit Counties and enable the partner for the states and counties where the search integration will be used.
- Click XML Config and select Enable XML Transmission of Notes and Documents and Don’t Also Send Notes and Documents via Email.
- Click Save.
- Click Save.
NOTE: This partner must be on a file when ordering services from WFG. It can be auto-added by another Partner, by the Action List, or be manually added by a user.
Create a Partner Employee
Admin/Partners
- Highlight the partner created above and click New in the partner employee area.
- Enter the First Name as WFG Agency integration services.
- Enter the Email Address as info@wfg.com.
- Check Primary Contact, which will set this employee as the primary contact by default when the partner is added to the file.
- Check Enabled in the Website Access area, which allows the web services to be utilized.
- Check Override Username and enter the Username as WFG.
- Click Generate to populate a Password. This will ensure company-specific password requirements are met. Write down this password to use in the validation step.
- In the Office Access area, select the Access checkbox for the office(s) where the integration will be enabled.
- If the integration will be used in more than one office, select the Default checkbox for the main office.
- Click Save.
Password Validation
Website
After a password is set or reset for a partner employee, the employee is required to enter a new password the next time they access the website. To ensure this integration is set up correctly, log into the company’s Resware website with the username and password created in the prior step and create a new password. Provide this new password to WFG.
NOTE: It may be beneficial to set the expiration date of this password on the partner employee setup out for an extended period. Check with company-specific password security protocols to verify this will be acceptable or have a reminder in place to update this password as needed to ensure this integration’s service will not be interrupted.
NOTE: The Username and Password will need to be provided to WFG which allows the documents to be returned to Resware on the file’s Documents panel.
Create New Document Types

WFG will return documents based on the services requested. The following documents will need to be active document types in Resware or be created using the following steps.

- Click Add.
- Enter the Document Type.
- Optionally, enter the Max on File. This would be the maximum number of documents with this document type allowed on a file.
- In the Website area, check Allow upload for Partner Types:
- Choose Selected, click Edit, and Add the Searcher partner type to allow only searchers to upload this document type to the file.
- OR
- Choose All to allow any partner type to upload this document type to the file.
- Click Save.
- Repeat the above steps for each of the above document types added.
- Make a note of the DocumentTypeID’s using the table above to provide to WFG.
- If this column is not visible, right-click in the grid, click Show, then select DocumentTypeID.
Create Action Events
The following is an optional step to create action events in Resware to facilitate, through XML, additional functionality or services on a file. WFG recommends, at a minimum, Agent: Cancel file and Agent: Request search update are created and used in this integration.
Admin/Action Lists/Action Events
- Click Add and enter the Name as Agent: Cancel file. Click Save.
- Repeat step to add Agent: Request search update and any other optional action events to add to the workflow and this integration.
NOTE: The first set of action events are intended to be used to send the notifications from the agent to WFG and the second set are intended to be used to send as notifications from WFG to the agent.

NOTE: For each action event created, enter the ActionEventDefID in the table above and provide to WFG. If the column is not visible in the grid, right-click in the grid to show the column.
Resware to Resware Partner Mappings
Admin/Partner Related/Resware to Resware Partner Mappings
- Click Add, then click Select to search for the partner added in the prior step.
- Enter the Username and Password as provided by WFG.
Order Placement
- Verify that the Service Type is set to Order Placement. Enter the URL as https://resware.wfgnationaltitle.com/OrderPlacementService/v4/Service.svc.
- Enter the Client ID as provided by WFG.
- Enter the Office ID as 3.
- Enter the Service Version as v4.
- Check the box for Don’t Send Sales Price or SSN’s.
- In the Transaction/Product Type Mapping area, add the transaction/products that will use the services WFG provides.
- Click Add to map a Resware transaction/product. Select the Transaction Type from the dropdown menu.
- Select the Product Type from the dropdown menu. Enter the Remote TransactionID which corresponds to the transaction being added as provided by WFG. Enter the Remote ProductID which corresponds to the product being added as provided by WFG.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for each transaction/product that will use the WFG services. The Primary Contact Mapping area maps the Resware user to the WFG account user. Click Add to map an internal user to their account with WFG. Select the Contact from the dropdown menu. Enter the RemoteID as provided by WFG. Check Default. Click Save.
- Click Save or continue to next step.
RECOMMENDATION: Save work in progress, then return to continue.
Notes/Documents
Set the Service Type dropdown menu to Notes/Documents. Enter the URL as https://resware.wfgnationaltitle.com/ReswareWebServices/ReceiveNoteService.svc. Enter the Coordinator Type ID as 1. The Document Type Mapping area maps all document types that will be sent from Resware to WFG. Click Add. Select a Document Type from the dropdown menu. Enter the RemoteID that is provided by WFG. Contact WFG if additional RemoteID’s are needed.
- Click Save.
- Click Save or continue to next step.
RECOMMENDATION: Save the work in progress, then return to continue.
Search Data
Set the Service type dropdown menu to Search Data. Enter the URL as https://resware.wfgnationaltitle.com/ReswareWebServices/ReceiveSearchDataService.svc Select v2 from the Service Version dropdown menu.
WFG has provided an extensive list of liens, requirements, easements, and restrictions with RemoteID’s. This list is available on the user group site. If additional RemoteID’s are needed, contact WFG.
The Lien Type Mapping area maps all of the liens that will be sent from Resware to WFG. Click Add. Select a Lien Type from the dropdown menu. Enter the RemoteID as provided by WFG.
- Click Save.
The Requirement Type Mapping area maps all of the requirements that will be sent from Resware to WFG. Click Add. Select a Requirement Type from the dropdown menu. Enter the RemoteID as provided by WFG.
- Click Save.
The Easement Type Mapping area maps all of the easements that will be sent from Resware to WFG. Click Add. Select an Easement Type from the dropdown menu. Enter the RemoteID as provided by WFG.
- Click Save.
The Restriction Type Mapping area maps all of the restrictions that will be sent from Resware to WFG. Click Add. Select a Restriction Type from the dropdown menu. Enter the RemoteID as provided by WFG.
- Click Save.
- Click Save or continue to next step.
RECOMMENDATION: Save the work in progress, then return to continue.
NOTE: The Add All button can be used to add multiple liens, requirements, easements, or restrictions instead of adding one at a time. This selection will add all of the selected category currently available in Resware, auto-populating the RemoteID using the LienTypeID or EasementTypeID. The user will then need to edit each item to update the RemoteID as provided by WFG.
Action Event
- Set the Service type dropdown menu to Action Event.
- Enter the URL as https://resware.wfgnationaltitle.com/ReswareWebServices/ReceiveActionEventService.svc.
- The Action Event Mapping area maps action events available to send to WFG. Each action event also needs to be added as an action in the workflow.
- Click Add.
- Select an Action Event from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the Code as provided by WFG.
- Click Save.
- Repeat for each action event.
- Click Save.
Enable the XML Tab on Products
Admin/Action Lists/Product Types
- Edit each product on which enabling the WFG functionality is needed.
- Click the XML tab. If the Resware XML package already exists on the product, skip to the next product type.
- Click Add and select Resware from the dropdown menu.
- Click OK.
- Click Save, Close.
NOTE: Log out of Resware to refresh the system prior to continuing.
Automation of Search Requests and Action Events
Request Order Action

The following step will create an action that will send the order request to WFG. Highlight the action group that should have the new action and click Edit Actions.
- Click Add Action.
- Click New Global Action.
- Enter an Action Name such as WFG: Request order.
- Click Save.
- Select a Coordinator for the start and complete of the action.
- Other options, such as Auto-start when Added to File, may be utilized, depending on what is needed to make the flow of the action group work for each customer.
- Click Save.
- Highlight the action for WFG: Request order that was just added and click Edit Affects.
- Click Add in the Complete Task Marked Done Affects section.
- In 5 – Marking Done Sends XML, select the following: XML: Resware: Send Order.
- Send To: Searcher
- Click Save.
Action Events

The following steps will create actions that have affects which will send action events to WFG.
- Highlight the action group that should have the new action and click Edit Actions.
- Click Add Action.
- Click New Global Action.
- Enter an Action Name like WFG: Request search update.
- Click Save.
- Select a Coordinator for the start and complete of the action.
- Other options, such as Auto-start when Added to File, may be utilized, depending on what is needed to make the flow of the action group work for each customer.
- Click Save.
- Highlight the action for WFG: Request search update that was just added and click Edit Affects.
- Click Add in the Complete Task Marked Done Affects section.
- In 5 – Marking Done Sends XML, select the following:
- XML: Resware: Send Action Event.
- Send To: Searcher
- Action Event: Agent: Request search update.
- Click Save.
- Repeat steps to create an action and add an affect for Agent: Cancel file and any other optional action events needed in the workflow.
Email Template
This section details how to attach a document type from a file and send it automatically when completing the action using an email template. This example will use the action created above, Agent: Request search update.
Admin/Action Lists/Email Templates/New
- Enter a Template Name such as XML to WFG: Search request update.
- Select Automatically send (no user interaction) from the Send Action dropdown menu. This will send the attached document automatically via XML when the action is completed.
- Select Email Only from the Send Method dropdown menu.
- Enter an Email Subject such as Requesting date down. In the Attachments area, check the Attach by Document Type checkbox and click Select Doc Types to select the document(s) that will be attached.
- Check the Select box for the Search request document type.
- Click Save.
- Check the Transmit Via XML checkbox. In the Partner Specific area, select the Selected option and click Add to search for and add the WFG search partner.
- Click Save.
Modify the Global Action
Admin/Action Lists/Global Action/Edit
Edit the global action, WFG: Request search update, to add the document as a requirement on the file before the action that sends the email and the email template can be completed.
- In the Completing Requires Documents area, click Add to add the document.
- In the Completing Email Templates area, click Add to add the email template.

Manually Send Search Order Request

Select Resware: Send Order – WFG National Title Insurance Company in the XML Message dropdown menu. Then click Send.

When an order has been successfully received by WFG, the file number automatically populates in the File Number field on the partner panel.
XML Messages

XML messages are shown in the Comments column with the WFG file number when the order is sent, when documents are received or sent, or if there are any issues with processing either request.
Search Data

WFG will populate search data information on the Search Data panel and add the necessary Easements & Restrictions, Liens & Requirements, Chain of Title, and Taxes information.

WFG will return the search related documents to the file.
